BOAT TRIPS
  With its miles of beaches and expanse of ocean, Galway is an ideal location for watersports enthusiasts.

One can enjoy swimming, surfing, sailing, rowing, and even scuba diving in clean water and pleasant surroundings. Facilities for dinghy sailing are available throughout the coastal regions of County Galway, including Clifden, Salthill, and Loch Atalia.

If you've never had the chance to try windsurfing, why not do so if you visit Salthill, Spiddal, and Clifden Bay.The River Corrib is the main rowing location, and a number of major competitions take place here. Clubs in the city include Galway Rowing Club, Woodquay and the Tribesman Rowing Club.

Anyone travelling to Galway to sail may bring their own boat, board or vessel. Clubs in the area include the Galway Bay Sailing Club, found two miles from Oranmore Village. The Clifden Boat Club is found near the town centre, and club racing also takes place here.
